Hi! I'm Mario and I'm drowning in work. For me, that's a good thing. I'm in two-and-a-half bands, work as a freelance composer, and I'm making a video game. Oh, and I have a full-time job in advertising. Also, this blog, of course.
In order to tackle this insane workload (and still see the sunlight and my friends every once in a while), I need to make sure I use my time efficiently and productively. So I always reserve some time to read and think about how to get things done more quickly.
Obviously, I don't have it all figured out.
It's an ongoing process, but I'm trying and I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. And I did plenty of them.
I'm also not going to talk about my "journey" or some other pseudo-inspirational bullshit. I want to scratch things off my to-do list, not blabber on about empowerment or the "best me" or what other hipster term about self-actualization is recent fashion.
"Joining a Facebook group about productivity is like buying a chair about jogging." - Merlin Mann
While this isn't a Facebook group, the statement still stands. Nothing on this blog is important if you let it distract you from putting in actual work. No productivity blog whatsoever will magically do your job for you. Sorry.
If you learn to prioritize, how to cut unnecessary steps in your workflow, how to get viable results faster and still have fun while doing so — which is the goal of this blog — that's a good thing, but only if you put it to actual use. Maybe it can inspire (ugh!) some changes in how you tackle things.
